![]() ![]() now open steam or a game with overlay and it should ask you to change your universal access permissions. press enter and it looks like nothing happened but now you can open system preferences and click the security and privacy button, now select accessibility from the menu, and steam and other apps shouldnt be listed in there. so, close steam and games, then open a terminal window, and type this:" tccutil reset Accessibility " without quotes. the solution to this problem for me was to delete all the apps that had accessibility from the list, and re-add them manually as the app needed. still same problem!!!! so i finally found a solution for people with the problem that steam THINKS it doesnt have accessibility. installing steam over my old steam didnt work, so i completely deleted everything associated with steam, reinstalled, redownloaded. ![]() ![]() then with the latest update i had the same error message about the accessibility not being enabled, when i checked the system prefs steam was ENABLED!!! still the overlay didn't work, and it kept asking me to check my system prefs, which were in order still even after i closed steam, unchecked, restarted, opened steam, closed steam, checked accessibility. i fixed it using the: system prefs -> security&privacy -> accessibility tab -> check box next to "steam.app". Ok i had this problem when i first installed steam.
